Description
Melchior – the second one among the Three Wise Men or Kings from the New Testament scene “ Adoration of the Magi”. He is riding a horse to the right. The royal figure portrays a mid-aged man with a crown on his head, with short-cut thick hair stranding out around the ears. The face is bordered with a short-cut beard and thick moustache. The King is dressed in a long cloak fastened at the neck, with large winged collar. The left foot in a long-tipped shoe is sticking out of the cloak and resting in a stirrup. A sword with globular pommel is suspended on a decorative waist belt. The right hand points to the Star of Bethlehem, which is not included in the scene. The King holds a ciborium in his left hand. The horse is walking on a segmental arch of a tracery, which is running out from the bottom bar of a rectangular architectonic bordure.

Prostřední ze tří mudrců – králů, Melichar, z novozákonní scény Klanění sv. Tří králů jede na koni směrem doprava. Královská postava zobrazuje muže středního věku s korunou na hlavě, pod niž vyčnívají ve výši uší zastřižené husté vlasy. Tvář rámuje krátce zastřižená brada a mohutný knír. Král je oděn do dlouhého, u krku sepnutého pláště s velkým hranatým límcem. Pod pláštěm vyčnívá levá noha obutá do boty s prodlouženou špicí, opřená ve třmeni. Na zdobeném řemeni je u pasu zavěšen meč s okrouhlou hlavicí. Pravá ruka ukazuje na betlémskou hvězdu, která už není součástí tohoto vyobrazení. V levé ruce drží král ciborium. Kůň kráčí po segmentovém oblouku kružby, vycházející ze spodního břevna pravoúhlého architektonického rámování.
